Launching a running brand from zero and selling out their debut race with scroll stopping video content
THE CHALLENGE
No content. No previous events. Just a vision and a trail to run.
When Prosper Events first approached us, they hadn’t hosted a single run. Their debut event - The Black Downhill Run— needed awareness, hype, and visual storytelling to sell tickets and establish credibility in a niche space with almost no video-led marketing.
The challenge? There was no footage, no past content to lean on, and almost no reference for what a modern running event should look like on social. It was up to us to build the visuals from scratch, starting before the race even happened.
THE SOLUTION
Two shoots. One strategy: energise, inspire, and sell out the start line.
We collaborated directly with Prosper’s founder, Alex, to bring his vision to life. Our approach focused on creating sleek, high-energy content that reflected the personal, grassroots spirit of the event while still feeling premium and social-first.
We produced:

A pre-event hype video, filmed on location with Alex running sections of the trail — built to inspire and tease the race experience

Full coverage of the Black Downhill Run event itself, capturing runners, scenery, and the challenge of the course

Vertical edits optimised for Instagram and TikTok

With just two shoots, we gave Prosper a content library they could use to launch the brand, build trust, and market future races - all without needing an internal content team.
